Bolton Teams With Singing Soldiers

Singer MICHAEL BOLTON is dedicating two forthcoming London concerts to members of the armed forces - and will be joined onstage by a band of British solders currently riding high in the U.K. charts.

The crooner has invited The Soldiers - Trooper Ryan Idzi, Sergeant Major Gary Chilton and Sergeant Richie Maddocks - to perform with him on 2 and 3 November (09) at the Royal Albert Hall.

The trio's debut album Coming Home is currently on course for a top 10 chart spot this week (ends 30Oct09) and they have already pledged all the proceeds to servicemen's charities.

Explaining his decision to team up with the soliders, Bolton says, "I have great pleasure in welcoming The Soldiers to the shows at the Royal Albert Hall because I have always, and continue to express 100 per cent support for the military at home and abroad. It is because of these people, the bravest of us all, that we have the lives and liberty that we cherish.

"From visiting military hospitals in the USA, it only emphasises that these people should get all the respect and support they deserve from all walks of life including those in the entertainment industry.

"I for one, cannot wait to see them take to the stage next week and wish them all the best in their future careers, both as servicemen and as future singing stars."
