Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja has been sentenced to seven years behind bars for raping a staff member at his home.
The rising film star was arrested in Mumbai, India in June, 2009 and charged with rape, wrongful confinement and criminal intimidation following a complaint from a maid, who was 18 at the time of the incident.
Ahuja, who denied the claims, went on trial in September (10) but the case was rocked when the employee retracted her allegation and claimed she had been told to make up the story by a woman who helped her land the job at his house.

Ahuja, who still maintains his innocence and claims he has been framed, is now planning to appeal the decision in Mumbai's High Court, according to his his lawyer, Srikant Shivade.
