Bogart's Mistress Dies Aged 92
Hollywood legend HUMPHREY BOGART's mistress VERITA THOMPSON has died in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was 92. Thompson's affair with the Casablanca star spanned 20 years and she was working on a screenplay based on their romance at the time of her passing. In 1982, Thompson released a book, Bogie And Me, documenting the illicit affair during the years she was the star's hairdresser - a publication that reportedly enraged Bogart's first wife Lauren Bacall. According to sources, Bogart gave Thompson one of his hair pieces before he died - and she kept the toupee by her bedside until her death.
