Rapper Bobby Shmurda Has Rejected A Plea Deal To Serve Eight Years In Prison On A String Of Charges, Including Murder, Gun Possession, Drug Dealing And Conspiracy.
The hip-hop star, real name Ackquille Pollard, is currently serving time in a New York correctional facility, following his arrest following a police sting in Manhattan in December (14).
He appeared in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday morning (25Jun15), when prosecutors announced they had offered him a plea deal for a charge of second-degree possession of a weapon and five years of probation.
His attorneys refused the offer, and, as a result, he will head back to court for trial on 5 October (15), and if convicted, he faces up to 25 years behind bars.
Also present alongside Shmurda on Thursday was fellow rapper Rowdy Rebel, real name Chad Marshall, who was also arrested in the sting. He was offered a seven-year plea, but that was also refused by his lawyers.
Corgan took to Instagram to confirm rumours of new Pumpkins material, saying the first songs could arrive as early as May.
