Bob Marley - Bob Marley Church Destroyed By Fire

Firefighters were called to a blaze at the Christ Apostolic Church in the King's Cross area and spent many hours attempting to dampen down the flames.

The church, which was previously a community centre, was severely damaged and a number of local residents had to be evacuated from surrounding buildings.

Marley picked the property as the location for his 1978 promo, which starred supermodel Naomi Campbell when she was just seven years old, and it was named a local landmark last year (11) when officials awarded it a green plaque, which honours the borough's notable residents and places of interest.
