Blur - Blur To Play Intimate Show At Oxford Street's 100 Club

Reunited rock band Blur has been added to the all-star line-up of Converse's Represent string of shows this August.
The London show will take place on August 2nd 2012 at Oxford Street's 100 Club and will precede their sell-out show at Hyde Park on August 12th for the Olympic Games closing ceremony. The live event has so far played host to Plan B, UK Subs, Paul Weller and Spiritualized. "Represent builds on our global commitment to music", says chief marketing officer of Converse, Geoff Cottrill. "We're excited to bring such an amazing and diverse roster of artists under one roof and to give music fans around the world a chance to participate in the action". The event, which stretches from July 30th 'til August 10th, is even streamed live on the internet and will feature 45 iconic and influential artists; multi-genre'd and both contemporary and classic. Blur fans even have a chance of winning tickets online with the lucky winners being selected at random.
The rockers released their first album 'Leisure' in 1991 and have since collected a number of accolades including five Brits and four Q Awards. Since reforming, they have recorded and released two songs: 'Under the Westway' and 'The Puritan'.
