Blunt Denied Pop Music As A Child
British singer JAMES BLUNT was deprived of popular music during his childhood - and didn't hear rock music until he was in his teens. The 33-year-old was introduced to classical music when his mother gave him a violin at just five - but the You're Beautiful hitmaker hadn't heard chart hits until classmates introduced them to him at school. He says, "I've wanted to be a singer since I was a teenager. At home we just had once CD player so I had limited access to music. "The guys at school obviously had much bigger record collections than I had so they introduced me to different types of music."
