The first photographs of Blue Ivy Carter, the daughter of Beyonce and Jay Z, are available to view free-of-charge on the couple's Tumblr account, despite the pair receiving a huge offer from a glossy magazine. With almost a full head-of-hair, Blue Ivy is seen squinting while her famous mother holds her close.

According to the New York Daily News, the couple are being praised on Twitter for turning down a reported $14 million offer for the first pictures, instead embracing social media and posting the pictures for free. Reaction to the photographs has sent Twitter into overdrive, with some fans digging up child-pictures of Beyonce and noting the comparison between the pair. One user said, "Blue Ivy is Flawless like Beyonce, and she looks like her mom", while another fan joked, "That baby looks like Beyonce had a baby with Beyonce". Reports last week suggested Jay Z had already moved to trademark his daughter's name, after numerous third-parties attempted to do the same but were rejected after the relevant bodies assumed they were attempting to make money from the famous baby-girl.

Blue Ivy is already a Billboard star, after her 'crying' was used on Jay Z's song 'Glory', which subsequently reached No .63 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. The song, produced by PHARELL WILLIAMS, was released just two days after Beyonce gave birth in New York City.
