It's not going to be a very merry Christmas for Bethenny Frankel, who has announced a split from husband Jason Hoppy. The reality star and businesswoman, 42, confirmed the sad news on Sunday, tweeting, "I am heartbroken. I am sad...We will work through this as a family," shortly afterwards.

In her official statement reported by US Weekly magazine, Bethenny said, "We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us." The couple share 2-year-old daughter Bryn, who became the focus of Frankel's reality show Bethenny Ever After. The reality star turned to her 1.1 million Twitter followers for support on Christmas Eve, writing, "Thank you all so much...You give me so much love, and I am so grateful. It feels like your words could get someone through anything."

Though initially gaining fame on The Real Housewives of New York, Frankel is known for her Skinnygirl cocktail brand, as well as her dieting and self-help books. She married businessman Hoppy at New York's lavish Four Seasons Hotel in a wedding chronicled on the Bravo spin-off Bethenny Getting Married. She is the daughter of the legendary horse racing trainer Robert J. Frankel.
