A member of of Hollywood's notorious 'Bling Ring' gang has been sentenced to three years probation after allegedly breaking into a slew of celebrity homes.
Diana Tamayo was one of six people charged with stealing more than $3 million (£1.9 million) in goods from properties belonging to stars including Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox and Orlando Bloom between 2008 and 2009.
On Friday (19Oct12), the 22 year old avoided a trial and a potential six-year prison sentence by pleading no contest to one count of burglary.
As a result, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler ordered Tamayo to stay out of trouble for the next 36 months, according to the Associated Press.
The case has captured the attention of the media, with director Sofia Coppola even turning the thieving scandal into a new film. The Bling Ring, starring Emma Watson and Leslie Mann, is due out next year (13).
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
