Blair Says Neither Murdoch -- Nor Anyone Else -- Has Offered Him A Job
British Prime Minister Tony Blair appeared to downplay recent rampant speculation in the British press that Rupert Murdoch has offered him a place on News Corp's board of directors when he leaves office. He did so in a light-hearted appearance with California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger at a Los Angeles news conference Monday. (Blair is the first sitting British prime minister ever to visit the city.) "If he needs a job and wants a job in Hollywood," Schwarzenegger quipped, "I'll get him to play Terminator 4." Blair responded, "Now that is definitely the best offer I've had. Actually, the sad thing is, it's the only offer I've had."
