Birdman To Bet $5 Million On New England Patriots

Cash Money boss Birdman is lining up a $5 million bet on Tom Brady and the New England Patriots to defeat the New York Giants at the Super Bowl next Sunday (5 February, 2012). The star has already been offered a $1 million bet by fellow rapper 50 Cent, but wants to up-the-stakes a little.

Though the tweet was almost illegible given the slang and 'text speak' that he used, Yahoo News translated a recent Birdman message to his followers as, "I like New England because Ben Jarvus Green-Ellis is my nephew. I plan on wagering $5 million on the game to anyone who wants the action". 50 Cent made headlines last week after he posed with $500,000 in cash which he claimed to have won by backing the New York Giants against the San Francisco 49ers. Turning his attention to the Super Bowl, 50 Cent called out Birdman - who is a notorious gambler - to bet against him, saying, "I'm up 500,000 off the last one. F--- it I'll bet it back I'll put a 1,000,000 on my G Men. Stunner you got the hit me if you want it.I just check the spread Hold up the M casino in vegas said patriots-3 I'm have to bet over there unless Stunnter giving up points. Get at me (sic)".

Birdman has a history of betting on American Football, and famously placed $1 million on the Green Bay Packers, who beat the Pittsburgh Steelers last year. This year's Super Bowl comes live from Indianapolis on February 5, 2012.
