Rap mogul Bryan 'birdman' Williams has been hit with a $1 million (£625,000) lien from bosses at Zankey Construction Company.
The hip-hop star hired company officials to work on a $14.5 million (£9.1 million) Miami, Florida mansion he purchased in 2012.
Williams borrowed $5 million (£3.13 million) earlier this year (14) to pay for the construction work, but Zankey bosses claim the Cash Money Records co-founder has yet to compensate them for his work, according to thejasminebrand.com.
Executives allege the rapper has refused to settle two invoices totalling over $1 million, despite the completion of the work.
The news emerges seven months after Birdman was named the fourth richest hip-hop star of the year in a Forbes.com poll. He is reportedly worth $160 million (£100 million).
'Smalls Change (Meditations Upon Ageing)' arrives in April.
The two awards have made for a great 72nd birthday present for the country music icon.
