Billy Corgan - Billy Corgan Rings In 46th Birthday Onstage
18 March 2013Rocker Billy Corgan rang in his 46th birthday in style on Sunday (17Mar13) by performing with his band The Smashing Pumpkins at the South by Southwest festival.
The group played for nearly two hours at Red Bull's Sound Select: 120 Hours stage in Austin, Texas on Saturday (16Mar13), delivering a packed set of favourites such as Bullet With Butterfly Wings, Tonight, Tonight and Ava Adore, as well as a cover of David Bowie's Space Oddity.
But the best moment came when the clock struck midnight and revellers began singing Happy Birthday to Corgan as he officially turned a year older on Sunday.
Thanking fans for their well wishes in a post on Twitter.com, he writes, "Thank you to everyone for the generous birthday wishes. Humbled by so much Love".
