Bill Nighy - Bill Nighy Feared Crashing Motorbike With Judi Dench On The Back

Actor Bill Nighy feared he would crash and kill his movie co-star Dame Judi Dench while filming The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel because he had only just learned how to ride a motorbike.

The Love Actually star admits he would regularly wake up panicking about the day's shoot during production in India because he didn't want to be responsible for the death of one of British cinema's most beloved treasures.

He says, "The only problem with that movie is I had to carry her on a motorcycle. I've never ridden a motorcycle in my life! I had to have motorcycle lessons. And she had to be on the back.

"It would have been fine if it was just myself, but to have Dame Judi Dench on the back of my motorcycle, you know, it's kind of unsettling. I used to wake up every morning thinking, 'Don't kill Judi Dench!' In England, if you kill Judi Dench, you can't go home anymore. You could kill the Queen and maybe sneak back into the country, but if you kill Judi Dench it's over."
