Big Brother - Big Brother To Welcome New Housemate

A new housemates will enter the 'Big Brother' house on Friday (29.07.10).

The weekly eviction show will continue as normal after Laura quit the house this morning, but bosses have decided to put one more hopeful in during the live programme.

In a statement, a show spokesperson said: "During Friday night's eviction show Davina will not only greet the next housemate to get the boot, but also welcome one more into the illustrious Big Brother fold."

Andrew, John James, Ben and David will all face the chop on Friday.

Meanwhile, the housemates' weekly shopping task has been revealed, with contestants taking part in the 'Ignore the Obvious' challenge.

To pass, they will have to ignore a number of distractions sent in to the house by Big Brother in order to win a luxury shopping budget and messages from home.

Housemates must not react in anyway - including pointing, laughing, gasping, gawping, flinching, closing eyes, smirking and running away - or the group will incur a fail.

A show spokesperson revealed: "The number of fails they can receive is hidden on a laminate in the safe in the bedroom. The housemates must not receive more fails than the number on this laminate. If housemates pass the task they will receive a luxury shopping budget next week as well as a very special prize.messages from home."

It has been suggested that Jedward - Irish 'X Factor' twins John and Edward Grimes - have been booked by producers to sing on the reality show during the live eviction on Friday (30.07.10).

The task began earlier today as a postman proceeded to strip and rub baby oil on himself as the housemates tried to distract themselves by making small talk and heading into the garden.

Housemates have revealed their worry that Rachel and Josie won't be able to complete the task.

Mario said: "I think we should basically leave Rachel locked in a room somewhere."

John James added: "And Josie can go with her!"
