Biffy Clyro - Biffy Clyro Scrap Remainder Of North American Tour As Bandmate Falls Ill

Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro have scrapped the remaining dates of their North American tour to allow Simon Neil to recover from a "serious respiratory problem".

Neil has been struggling with shows, including last weekend's Coachella festival performance and two nights supporting Muse at Madison Square Garden in New York on Monday (15Apr13) and Tuesday (16Apr13), and he has been advised by doctors to rest up or risk a longterm medical issue.

The group's upcoming U.S. dates with Muse and a second weekend performance at Coachella have been cancelled and the band has returned to the U.K.

A spokesman for the group tells Wenn, "The band wish to express how sorry they are that they aren't able to carry out the full run of shows, and hope to confirm a new run of North American shows shortly. All U.K. and European dates this summer should, however, remain unaffected."
