Bieber Fever Spreads To Manhattan' Rockefeller Center
The heartthrob of thousands of young teenage girls all over the world, Justin Bieber has been the cause of mass disturbances in various cities with his string of free concerts around the world.
More than 200,000 young fans showed up at his concert in New Mexico City on Monday night (11th June 2012); most of them screaming and/or crying in awe of their pop hero. He addressed the crowd, assuring them 'Every one of you is my biggest fan!', and later took one of the fans on stage, presented her with a bunch of flowers before crooning 'One Less Lonely Girl' to the weeping tween.
The event followed a gig in Oslo in May where forty people were injured. It was expected that 5,000 police would be on hand to prevent a second incident in New Mexico.
New York City saw another spread of Bieber Fever as he performed at the Rockefeller Centre for NBC's 'Today' show on Friday morning. One fan from New Rochelle, New York matter-of-factly told New York Daily News: 'I had to sleep on the sidewalk to see him' and described getting into Manhattan around 3am for the mini-concert which he kicked off with a performance of his latest single 'Boyfriend'.
