Beyonce Knowles - Beyonce Launches World Humanitarian Day Campaign

The philanthropic Halo hitmaker has teamed up with United Nations officials to launch the new initiative and she will unveil a special video for her song I Was Here on 19 August (12) to mark the global event.

In a statement, the superstar says, "We all see the headlines, and we think, what can I really do to help? World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference. This is our time to leave our mark on the world and show that we were here and we care."

The promo, which was filmed in the U.N. General Assembly Hall in New York, will be 'donated' to campaign bosses in a bid to encourage 1 billion people around the world to get active.
