Former DESTINY'S CHILD star BEYONCE KNOWLES got a special pre-birthday treat on Thursday (31AUG06), when her mother TINA cooked her favourite meal for 600 of her friends. The CRAZY IN LOVE singer is celebrating her 25th birthday today (04SEP06), but got a special surprise after MTV's Video Music Awards when her mum teamed up with her boyfriend JAY-Z to pull off the surprise feast. Sources tell New York Post's Page Six column, Tina spent much of the afternoon in the kitchen of Jay-Z's club 40/40 "cooking her secret family recipe of seafood gumbo". The gumbo was later dished out to 600 revellers at the club. Beyonce releases her second solo album today, B'DAY, to coincide with the celebration of her 25th birthday.
