Beyonce And Jay-Z Add $4m To Obama’s Re-Election Kitty

A fundraiser hosted by Beyonce and Jay Z at the 40/40 Club has gleamed a healthy addition to Obama’s re-election campaign, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Things are looking pretty good for Obama’s second term. After appearing on the Late Show With David Letterman in New York on Tuesday (September 18th) Obama arrived to a $4m boost for his re-election hopes at the 40/40 club. The New York joint was the scene for a tremendously successful fundraiser, hosted by Hip-Hop’s favourite couple. "I can't tell you how proud we are to host tonight's event with President Obama," Beyonce told the crowd. "We believe in his vision." The love-in didn’t stop there, and a reciprocal Obama was full of praise for the former Destiny’s Child star: "Beyonce couldn’t be a better role model for our daughters because she carries herself with such class and poise and has so much talent," he explained after confirming his affection for his celebrity pals. "To J and B, thank you so much for your friendship,” he beamed.
