Betty White Has No Plans To Retire
White, who shared the screen with Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan and ESTELL GETTY on the multi award winning show, also reminisced about the first time the cast got together, she said, "The first table read was an experience. I had worked with Bea, I had done a couple of guest shots on Maude. I had worked with Rue on Mama's Family. Estelle was a new one to all of us. She came from New York after her hit. We all sat down for the first table read and somebody read a line and then somebody else read a line".
White also spoke about how the stars knew immediately they were making something special, she said, "We all began to look at each other because there wasn't any first reading feeling about it". The acclaimed actress has been in constant demand since the show came to a close, and has lent her voice to 'Family Guy' and 'The Simpsons', whilst also appearing in hit shows 'Ugly Betty', '30 Rock', and 'My Name is Earl'.
