Bestival Announces Line-up Additions For 2012

BESTIVAL 2012 - curated by Dj Rob da Bank - is set to take place from September 6th-9th 2012. The XX are set to return to the festival, following a triumphant set in the Big Top in 2010. Also performing is Icelandic rockers Sigur Ros and electronic French duo Justice. The Audio, Video, Disco group - who performed sets at the festival in 2005 and 2006 - revealed: 'To tell you the truth, we wanted to kick off the new tour at Bestival last year but we finally thought we wouldn't be ready (and we weren't) and decided to take more time to get prepared... Now we're ready.'

Rob da Bank posted on the Bestival website yesterday (7th February 2012): 'So, here we are then! Announcing Bestival again - and another bumper selection of acts from across the musical world and styles. The xx at Bestival two years ago is in my top three Besti performances ever so I'm delighted they're hitting the main stage in 2012 and I've finally landed Sigur Ros, one of my all-time fave festival acts. From Justice to AZEALIA BANKS, Spiritualized to Sister Sledge, I hope there's something for everyone and still three headliners to unveil shortly!' For anyone that may have missed that announcement, he announced the acts, plus a few others, on his Twitter page earlier today (8th February 2012).

The Isle of Wight based Bestival is well known for its stunning line-up of world famous acts. Last year, bands such as The Cure; Primal Scream, Bjork and PJ Harvey all played the festival.

New Line-up Additions also include: Two Door Cinema Club, Hot Chip, Soulwax, Nero, Emeli Sande, Orbital, Warpaint, De La Soul, Major Lazer, The Horrors, Gary Numan, MICHAEL KIWANUKA SUB FOCUS, Gallows, Rizzle Kicks, Little Dragon and GOLD PANDA
