Best Hopes For Mccartney Reunion

THE Beatles original drummer Pete Best hopes to reunite with his former bandmate Paul McCartney - as he hasn't seen the star for over 40 years.

The 66-year-old musician was part of the Fab Four from 1960 to 1962, before Ringo Starr was drafted into the band to take his place.

Best insists he was good friends with the rest of the band before his departure - and hopes that he and MCCartney will one day be able to revive their relationship.

He says, "I would like to see Paul one more time in my life, just to catch up. Talk about our kids and grandkids, compare notes on where we've been and where we're going.

"It was Paul who actually talked the others into letting me into the band because he thought I was a good fit - and they couldn't find another decent drummer at the time.

"You know, as old friends go, people move in their own directions and you lose touch. We were kids back when we really hung out."

yeah, good luck Pete! don't know how paul can sing all those songs about love, friendship & forgiveness yet live so remotely from it????????????? sorry, don't get me wrong...so many people really & truly love Paul, as do I , it's too sad he doesn't make/take the time for the truly important things in life...love, family, friends, children, & now grandchildren. maybe too many people want to be his friend & there isn't enough of him to go around for all who care for him. if it doesn't happen, look at it this way....real friends are very hard to come by...surely he, of all people, realize this & if he doesn't take that opportunity to reunite especially with old friends of his youth, then it will be his loss. I hope it works out for you Pete!

It certainly wouldn't hurt to do that. No one lives forever, so unless Paul doesn't care for Pete or could care less, why not get together for old times sake? Why not give him at least that?
