Best Director Award Goes To Bollywood Star
Indian art-house director Bhardwaj triumphed with his second big-screen William Shakespeare adaptation OMKARA, which is based on Othello. The movie is to be screened at a further six international film festivals.
Bhardwaj's first Shakespearean outing was 2003's MAQBOOL, a modern-day Mumbai (Bombay)-based adaptation of Macbeth.
