Veteran Australian entertainer Bert Newton has been released from hospital after undergoing quadruple heart bypass surgery.
The 74-year-old Tv personality was admitted to Melbourne's Epworth Hospital with chest pains last month (Nov12) and surgeons operated on 24 November (12).
Newton has now checked out of the hospital and will undergo a six-month rehabilitation period at home.
The star has thanked his family members and fans for their support during the medical drama, adding, "It wasn't nearly as bad as some people would've forecast. My surgeons have treated it as a journey and I've been on a few interesting journeys in my life and it will continue to be a journey."
