Berry Gordy - Berry Gordy's Life Story Set For Broadway Treatment

Legendary record label boss Berry Gordy is set to be the subject of a new Broadway musical.
The icon founded Motown Records in 1959 and subsequently discovered and signed such artists as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye and The Temptations, and now his life is set to get the stage treatment under the direction of thespian Charles Randolph-Wright.
The 81 year old, who is Lmfao star RedFoo's father, will be involved with the production and he's excited to share his memories with the world, telling The Hollywood Reporter, "Broadway is the pinnacle of live theatre and provides a challenging and exciting opportunity to tell my story and share the magic of Motown."
Casting has not yet begun but Motown: The Musical is set to open next spring (13).
