Hollywood star Ben Affleck has created an account on Facebook.com to help raise awareness of the troubles in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The actor and director has long been campaigning to raise awareness and aid for the Central African nation and established his own charitable foundation, the Eastern Congo Initiative, in 2010 to help women and children affected by rape and sexual violence.
Affleck has just returned from his eighth trip to the war-torn region, and he's set up a page in his name on the social networking site to let fans know all about his charitable work.
In a post, he writes, "Looking forward to bringing some awareness to what's happening in the Congo today, and sharing stories of the extraordinary people I've met along the way."
