Ben Affleck - Ben Affleck & Hillary Clinton Join Forces For Congo Children

The pair was in Washington, D.C. on Thursday (14Jun12) for a conference organised by the actor/director's non-profit Eastern Congo Initiative, which he set up in in 2010 to help women and children affected by rape and sexual violence.

Now he is turning his attention on the children who die of treatable diseases in the Central African nation, and wants to increase medical aid to the war-torn country.

After the conference, he took to his Twitter.com page to write, "We wouldn't allow four year-olds to die from preventable diseases in the U.S. - nor should we let it happen in Congo or anywhere else."
