Bee Gees To Be Honoured As Icons
The STAYIN' Alive stars, who have won a total of 109 BMI awards during their 35-year career, will be recognised for their "unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers".
Surviving bandmembers BARRY and Robin Gibb will receive the accolade at a ceremony in Beverly Hills, California on 15 May (07). Brother Maurice died in 2003.
The group will joins previous recipients of the award Paul Simon, James Brown, Carlos Santana and Dolly Parton when they are honoured by the organisation.
