Robin Gibb - Bee Gees Legend Robin Gibb Laid To Rest

Robin Gibb's brother Barry and their elderly mother Barbara led the procession at the singer's funeral on Friday (08Jun12) as family, friends and fans bid an emotional farewell to the Bee Gees star.
The legendary British singer passed away last month (May12) following a long battle with liver and colon cancer, and his loved ones gathered to pay their respects at a church service near his home in Thame, England.
Barbara Gibb, 92, was pushed in her wheelchair and accompanied by Robin's Bee Gees bandmate Barry as she travelled behind the late musician's coffin, which was topped with red roses and carried on a white, glass-panelled carriage drawn by four plumed, black horses.
A lone musician played the bagpipes as the procession, which also included the singer's wife Dwina, his sons Spencer and RJ, and his beloved Irish Wolfhounds Ollie and Missy, followed the coffin through the town, while hundreds of fans lined the route.
The air cadets of 594 Thame Squadron formed a guard of honour for Gibb, a champion of Britain's armed forces, as the cortege made its way to St Mary's Church.
Gibb's coffin entered the venue to the sounds of the Bee Gees classic How Deep Is Your Love, and Dwina recited a self-written poem titled My Songbird Has Flown during the private service. One of Gibb's most recent songs, Don't Cry Alone, from his Titanic Requiem, was also played during the memorial.
After the service, Gibb was laid to rest in a graveyard outside the church, close to a memorial in honour of his younger brother Andy, who died in 1988.
