Becks: Cruise Not Converting Us
David Beckham has stressed that close friends Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Haven't tried to convert his family to Scientology.
The Los Angeles Galaxy player has said the Hollywood power couple are "amazing people" who are "just so positive about life", but has rejected rumours that he and wife Victoria had Cruise's and Holmes' views 'shoved down their throats'.
Talking to Arena magazine, Becks said: "We respect their religion. We respect everything they do and believe in.
"But they have never turned around to us and said, 'You have to be a part of this', because that's not what they're about. It's never been about that.
"There's been nothing shoved down our throats because friends don't do things like that."
The footballer also explained that since his move to Los Angeles, he has become close friends with Marc Anthony, husband of Jennifer Lopez.
"We talk about all sorts," he said. "What's happening that week, that day. What Jennifer's up to, what Victoria's up to.
"I speak to him at least three or four times a week."
