Beckham Dismisses Glamour Pull Of Hollywood
Soccer ace David Beckham insists "Hollywood glitz" has nothing to do with his decision to move to Los Angeles.
Beckham is moving to California with his wife VICTORIA and three children later this year (07), after signing with local soccer club LA Galaxy.
But the 31-year-old insists a glamorous lifestyle isn't a motivator for him.
He says, "People have said we're going because we're attracted by the Hollywood glitz. But I'm not sure that, as a family, we actually enjoy that side of it.
"The perception is we love the red carpets and parties and being in the limelight - but the reality is we don't. Over the years we've been built up and built up, which I'm not saying is a bad thing as it's been an amazing experience for me and my family.
"But for pure lifestyle and way of living it's been great in Madrid. I think we just needed a new experience.
"Of course we'll enjoy it. I felt the right move for me and the family was the States."
