Beck Says He's Giving New Rally Money To Charity
After questions were raised by both liberal and conservative commentators about who will be benefiting from a 9/11 patriotic rally in Anchorage, AK featuring Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin, a spokesperson for Beck on Thursday said that he will be donating his fee to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. The group provides full scholarships and counseling to the children of military personnel killed while on duty. (Beck's website says that $5 million was raised for the group during his Restoring Honor rally last month.) The Beck spokesperson said that Sarah Palin, who is scheduled to introduce Beck at Saturday's rally, will receive no feel. Still, it was not disclosed how much Beck will receive or who will pocket the rest of the receipts. Tickets are priced between $73.75 and $225.
