Beady Eye To Perform At Charity Gig

Liam Gallagher will follow in his brother Noel's footsteps by performing at the Teenage Cancer Trust's charity concert next month.

The Beady Eye frontman and his former Oasis bandmates guitarist Gem Archer and bassist Andy Bell, along with drummer Chris Sharrock, have joined the line up for the 11th annual music and comedy shows at London's Royal Albert Hall alongside Biffy Clyro, Editors, Tinie Tempah and patron Roger Daltrey one year after Noel performed as a solo artist.

Roger said: "These gigs have raised nearly £10 million in 10 years and they make a real difference to the lives of thousands of young people with cancer. We've had both legends and rising stars play for Teenage Cancer Trust over the years and 2011 is no different. I'm truly grateful to everyone for their support."

An evening of comedy will kick off the weeklong event on March 21 while Squeeze and The Feeling will be the first musical acts to perform the following day.

BRIT award nominees Biffy Clyro - who first performed for the charity in 2006 - will play their first UK date of 2011 on March 23 followed by Roger, who will perform The Who's 1969 rock opera Tommy along with his early hits.

Beady Eye and Editors will follow on March 25 and 26 before Tinie Tempah closes the series of concerts on Sunday March 27.

The charity - which aims to provide specialist teenage cancer units at UK hospitals - has hosted shows for the past decade to raise funds and awareness of the cause.

The 2010 Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall line-up:

Monday 21 March: An evening of comedy with John Bishop, Kevin Bridges and Greg Davies

Tuesday 22 March: Squeeze and The Feeling

Wednesday 23 March: Biffy Clyro

Thursday 24 March: Roger Daltrey CBE performs The Who's Tommy

Friday 25 March: Beady Eye

Saturday 26 March: Editors

Sunday 27 March: Tinie Tempah
