Beady Eye - Beady Eye moving away from Britpop

Beady Eye are ''experimenting'' with their second album.

The 'Roller' hitmakers - comprising Liam Gallagher, Andy Bell, Chris Sharrock and Gem Archer - will release the follow-up to 2011's 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' next year and have been working with producer Dave Sitek, known for his work with TV on the Radio and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and frontman Liam says the record is very different to their debut, and the sound they are known for from their days in Oasis.

He said: ''I hate the word 'experimenting', but we are definitely experimenting ''In five words, it's 'majestic', 'imperial', 'out there' and, er, what was the other one? Oh yeah, 'heavy'.

''It's different to the first. It's been heads down, none of that nonsense from the Nineties. We've got our s**t together.''

While the record may be sounding different, Liam is confident the album will be a hit.

He added to The Sun newspaper: ''It feels like a really special album. You know when you normally go through a door and go, 'Er, I'm not really sure about that'.

''Well, we've f***ing booted the door off the hinges.''
