Beady Eye Clip Appears Online

Liam Gallagher's new band, Beady Eye, have released the first glimpse of their music online.

The band has posted a 21 second clip of an untitled track on their official website and YouTube channel today (08.11.10).

The short video shows a screen split into four, with each of the band members - Liam, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock - in each corner, playing their instruments in slow motion.

While Liam's mouth can be seen singing into a microphone, the only music on the track is only a guitar riff, which is joined by a bass drum at the end.

The snippet sounds like it could be the intro to a song, and points toward the group retaining the upbeat rock 'n' roll sound they fashioned when they were all members of Oasis, but with a harder edge.

Oasis split in summer 2009 after a fall out between singer Liam and his brother, the band's main songwriter and guitarist Noel Gallagher.

Liam is planning for Beady Eye to release their album in summer next year and has previously said he is confident his new group will be bigger than Oasis - who sold 50 million albums in their 18 year career.

He said: "It'll be bigger than Oasis. I've got No Doubt about the music, no doubt about me. It's proper rock 'n' roll. Oasis was a pop band compared to what we're doing."

He has also said he believes his estranged brother will "come crawling back very f***ing soon" when the band is unveiled.

Noel is reportedly taking a break from music before planning to record a solo album next year.
