Andrew Davies - Bbc Bosses Commission Top Screenwriter To Adapt War & Peace

Emmy Award winner Andrew Davies is to tackle Leo Tolstoy's epic novel War & Peace for an upcoming Bbc mini-series

Davies, who adapted the original House of Cards and Charles DICkens' Little Dorrit for Tv, has been tasked with turning Tolstoy's Russian tale into six one-hour episodes.

The drama will air in 2015, according to Variety.

Davies says, "(It is) a thrilling, funny and heartbreaking story of love, war and family life. The characters are so natural and human and easy to identify with."
