Barry Gibb - Barry Gibb's Emotional Speech At Brother Robin's Funeral

The Bee Gees star passed away last month (May12) following a long battle with liver and colon cancer, and his loved ones gathered to pay their respects at a church service near his home in Thame, England.

His brother and bandmate Barry stepped up to deliver a moving speech in honour of Robin, whose death comes nine years after that of his twin Maurice.

Barry told the congregation, "Life's too short, in Robin's case, absolutely too short. We should have had 20 years, 30 years of his magnificent mind and his beautiful heart.

"When you're twins, you're twins all your life. You go through every emotion. And they're finally together. I think the greatest pain for Robin in the past 10 years was losing his twin brother and I think it did all kinds of things to him. And now they're together."

He also thanked the mourners for attending the service, declaring: "So many people loved this boy, so many illustrious people are here that loved him. And that is such a pleasure to witness. The three of us have seen a lot of crowds but I've never seen so much love in one crowd as I'm looking at today."

Stars including lyricist Sir Tim Rice, Australian singer Peter Andre and actor Leslie Phillips joined Gibb's 91-year-old mother Barbara, his wife Dwina and two sons at the funeral as they bid farewell to the singer.
