The stars of rock group Baroness have thanked fans for their support as they recover in hospital following a terrifying bus crash last week (15Aug12).
The musicians and their crew cheated death last Wednesday (15Aug12) when their tour bus careered off a viaduct in a heavy rainstorm in Bath, England.
Frontman John Baizley broke his left arm and left leg, while drummer Allen Blickle and bassist Matt Maggioni each suffered fractured vertebrae, and they have now released a picture of themselves in the hospital.
Blickle and Maggioni are seen smiling for the camera as they stand around Baizley's bed, while the singer raises his broken arm in a 'thumbs up' gesture. They also released a short statement assuring fans they are on the mend.
The message, posted on the band's Facebook.com page, reads, "Thank you to all of you who have been sending the tidal wave of positivity our way. We are uplifted by its sheer magnitude, and power. Every single one of you is making our days and nights easier and our recovery quicker.
"Thank you all so much, we are truly lucky to have such incredible people on our side. A sincere and heartfelt thank you from each of us to each of you."
They also reveal guitarist Peter Adams has already returned to the band's native U.S. after he was treated and released from the hospital before his bandmates.
