Baroness Postpone Concerts After Tour Bus Crash
16 August 2012The Georgia-based group was heading for a concert in Southampton, England when the coach the rockers were travelling in overturned and careered off a viaduct in a heavy rainstorm in Bath, England, crashing 30 feet (nine metres) below.
All eight passengers and the driver survived the accident, but were hospitalised for treatment - and now the band has announced its forthcoming shows will be affected.
A post on their official website reads, "Baroness were in a serious bus accident... The band members and crew are recovering at local hospitals. All tour dates are postponed until further notice. More updates to come."
The group was due to play shows in Germany and Belgium following its planned gig in Southampton on Wednesday night, and has dates in the U.S. scheduled from 29 August (12).
