Barlow To Sneak Young Acts Past Queen
The Take That star has been tasked with curating the prestigious event at Buckingham Palace, London in June (12), and has already signed up a host of top-name stars including Sir Paul MCCartney, Sir Elton John, Sir Tom Jones, and Dame Shirley Bassey.
But Barlow has also promised there'll be something for younger viewers - he intends to add some less internationally famous acts to the bill for parts of the show where the Queen will not be in attendance.
He tells Seven magazine, "There's points of the gig where the Queen's watching the show, and points where she isn't. So there's a point where something quite modern would happen, which I know the Queen wouldn't be in her seat for, so we'll get away with it. So it's quite strategic!"
