Barbra Streisand is to make a rare live performance at this weekend's Grammy awards.
The 68-year-old singer-and-actress - who has won 15 Grammys over the course of her career, and is up for Best Traditional Vocal Pop Album for 'Love Is The Answer' this year - is to take to the stage at Los Angeles' Staples Centre on Sunday night (13.02.11).
Performing a selection of tunes from her most recent album, Barbra is joining the likes of Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and indie rockers Arcade Fire, all of whom have signed up to perform at the 53rd annual event.
While the majority of performers at the ceremony - which is reportedly being opened by Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson - are young stars, Sir Mick Jagger, 67, was another older performer to recently confirm his involvement in the event.
Neil Portnow, president and chief executive of the Recording Academy, said: "We're thrilled, delighted, excited and very much looking forward to Mick doing his debut on the Grammy stage.
"It's extraordinary to many of us that the fact is, this will be the first time; he has never performed on the Grammy stage."
