Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli & Aretha Franklin To Perform At Hamlisch Memorial
Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli and Aretha Franklin are to perform at an upcoming memorial for beloved Broadway composer Marvin Hamlisch.
Violinist Itzhak Perlman, pianist Lang Lang, singer Michael Feinstein and trumpeter Chris Botti will also take the stage at the star-studded tribute at New York's Juilliard School next week (18Sep12).
Hamlisch scholarships at the school will be announced at the memorial, which will be strictly invite only.
Streisand and Minnelli were among the first celebrities to post touching tributes to Hamlisch online after hearing their longtime friend and collaborator had died on 6 August (12).
