David Banner - Banner Postpones Rally Over Safety Concerns

Hip-hop star DAVID BANNER has postponed a community rally he organised in Chicago, Illinois over safety fears.

The rapper's Heal The Hood Foundation planned to hold the Something's Wrong Community Rally on Tuesday (20Oct09) to raise awareness and develop solutions regarding the city's youth and gang violence issues.

The event was due to host a crowd of 700, but became so popular that concerns grew over the number of people that may turn up.

The rally has been pushed back so organisers can accommodate the increased numbers expected to turn out for the event.

Banner says, "This is a movement not to condemn kids or any organisations but the safety of the kids is my biggest concern, we want to stay on task and continue what we’ve started, we want everyone to have the opportunity to contribute."
