Bango Tango Guitarist Blasts Singer Death Rumours

Heavy rockers BANGO TANGO have slammed rumours frontman JOE LESTE is on his deathbed after he was hospitalised on Wednesday (25Nov09).

The band was forced to scrap a gig in Chicago, Illinois on Wednesday night when LeSte fell ill, prompting numerous online rumours suggesting the singer was close to death - with some even alleging he was dead.

But guitarist Alex Grossi has moved to put an end to the sick allegations, insisting LeSte is "alive and well" - although he fails to expand on what caused the rocker's hospital visit.

In a statement, Grossi says, "In response to the dozens of phone calls, text messages and emails regarding Joe LeSte, I would like to squash any rumours that he is dead or even close to it. Joe was indeed taken to the hospital on Wednesday evening, right before a Bang Tango performance that was set to take place at the Portage Theater in Chicago.

"Without going into detail, I can tell you, without reservation, that Joe is very much alive and well. He is currently stable and recovering in Chicago as I type this."
