Bailey Rae Thanks 10-Year-old For Soundtrack
British soul singer CORINNE BAILEY RAE only secured her soundtrack for new movie VENUS when the director's daughter pleaded her case.
Rae was commissioned to work on the PETER O'TOOLE-starring film after the 10-year-old insisted on playing her eponymous album constantly during a road trip with dad ROGER MICHELL last year (06).
And despite the moviemaker's initial objections, he confesses he quickly fell in love with the singer's dulcet tones.
He recalls, "My daughter dragged me into the shop to buy her record and put it on in the car all the way down to Devon. By Bristol though I had a clear image that I wanted her for my movie. Her voice sounds so summery and romantic.
"Unfortunately my daughter has only just discovered her name isn't on the movie credits as soundtrack advisor and she's giving me a hard time about it."
