Badly Drawn Boy Suffered Writer's Block With New Album

The star, real name Damon Gough, has just released his first studio album in four years, It's What I'm Thinking Pt.1 - Photographing Snowflakes.

The singer admits it took him so long to complete the record because he wasn't allowed in his kitchen during lengthy renovations - and the room is where he normally gains inspiration for tracks.

He tells Britain's Live From Studio Five, "I had a lot of work done on the house, particularly the kitchen. Like six to eight months of living around a kitchen, which was like a bomb site. We got a little hob from Ikea and set it up in the living room.

"That's where I write, in the kitchen, so it really halted me for a bit, knocked me out of stride for a bit."
