"Bad Intentions": Dappy Arrives at Court Facing Assault and Affray Charges
07 January 2013"Bad Intentions": Dappy Arrives at Court Facing Assault and Affray Charges
Standard convention deigns that when in court defending yourself, you make yourself look as squeaky clean as possible. Dappy didn't get that memo and turned up wearing a beanie with 'BAD INTENTIONS' embroidered on the front, along with a suit and trenchcoat, and sun glasses, which were as suitable as the beanie given that the day was overcast.
The young rapper of N-Dubz fame is facing charges of affray and three counts of assault. Two of the assault charges are common, but the third is assault by beating. The fight occurred at a petrol station in Surrey, in which one 23 year old man lost numerous teeth, two further men were left with serious facial injuries. Dappy also spat at a teenage girl during the incident.
According to the Daily Mail, three other men are facing charges along with Dappy, real name Dino Costas Contostavlos, all but one of whom deny the charges levied against them. One defendant, Alfred James Miller, aged 28, plead guilty to the charges of affray and will face court at a later date.
The case was meant to reach trial last summer, but Judge Christopher Critchlow granted leave for Dappy so that he could go on his £1m tour. His cousin and band mate Tulisa Contostavos also attended court to show her support.

RIP Ray Manzarek
