Backstreet Boys' New Album Confirmed For 2013
The new album - which the band are busy recording at the moment - will be released next year, to coincide with the bands 20th anniversary. That might make some of their fans feel old and will have them thinking back to the time that they used to have Backstreet Boys posters blu-tacked to their bedroom walls. Clearly the boys weren't happy to settle into the nostalgia circuit though and are keen to get new material out into the world, to keep the old fans happy and get new ones on board. The band - Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, Aj Mclean and Kevin Richardson - are currently recording the new material in London and are being helped along by producer Martin Terefe, who is known for his work with Mary J Blige, Jason Mraz and Train.
Backstreet Boys will be playing their debut official reunion performance on August 31, 2012. The gig will take place in New York's Central Park, as part of the Summer Concert Series.
